At KCMC Hospital Pathology is a medical specialty that focuses on the study and diagnosis of diseases through the examination of tissues, organs, body fluids, and cells. Department Structure
Pathology Department of the KCMC has four working units:
Histopathology
Microscopic examination of tissue for disease diagnosis
Cytopathology
Study of cells for disease detection
Cancer Registry
Collection and maintenance of cancer data
Mortuary Units
Postmortem examinations and body storage

Operating Hours
Monday-Friday: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Weekends & Holidays: Limited services available for emergencies through on-call staff
