The KCMC Cardiovascular Centre will offer comprehensive treatment for children and adults with heart disease, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including one operating room, two catheterization labs, and one hybrid cath lab/OR suite.

KCMC represents an innovative public-private partnership between the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Government of Tanzania, with support from the Tanzanian Ministry of Health. Under the exceptional leadership of Executive Director Professor Gileard Masenga, MD, KCMC has demonstrated consistent growth and integrity while successfully managing complex construction projects.

The Cardiovascular Center will serve as a regional training hub for fellows from Tanzania and across Africa, enabling other nations to establish or expand their cardiac services. As a cornerstone in our vision for three new African cardiac training centers, this project has the potential to transform cardiac care development continent-wide.

KCMC's strategic location near Kilimanjaro International Airport and its advanced fiber optic internet infrastructure—developed in partnership with Duke University's Global Health Institute—makes it ideal for international collaborations and remote education.
