Introduction and Background Information
In KCMC hospital, Hope Hospital School program supports hospitalized children who are at risk of disengaging from education and those unable to attend school due to their health conditions. The program has so far aimed at giving the children a chance of learning, maintaining creativity, stress relief, recreation and various forms of therapy which makes the stay in the hospital better from treatment to recovery.
Many thanks to the KCMC Hospital Management for supporting this idea. I specifically would like to mention Prof. Gilliard Masenga ( Executive Director of (KCMC) & Secretary (GSF) ) and Dr. Sarah Urasa ( Director of Hospital Services ) for their encouragement and allowing the implementation of this project at KCMC Hospital.
