Department of Clinical Laboratory

INTRODUCTION

The Clinical Laboratory (CL) Department came up immediately after the inauguration of KCMC in 1971. It is located on the first floor of the three-story hospital building.

The CL provides laboratory diagnosis of human diseases, monitoring and controlling both diagnosis and treatment within the human health care system.

The CL is accredited as "Zonal Reference Laboratory" for the catchment area of the Arusha, Dodoma, Kilimanjaro, Singida and Tanga Regions in the northern part of Tanzania
