MASTER OF PUBLIC HEALTH (MPH) PROGRAMME Course Structure The original outline model for the curriculum had been prepared by KCMC in collaboration with faculty from the Nottingham, UK MPH programme and has been further developed following the experience and evaluation of the first year's programme. KCMC Faculty has developed the curriculum alongside Faculty members from the School of Public Health, Nottingham; Centre for International Health, University of Bergen; Ministry of Health, Tanzania and other Public Health Colleagues from Tanzania and Europe. The curriculum at KCMC contains three basic sections:
During the overall one-year programme, there will be 30 weeks of teaching, during which time the modules (100 credits, 25 weeks) and preparatory work for the project (20 credits, 5 weeks) will be undertaken. The remaining time (60 credits, 15 weeks) will be used for undertaking the project and writing dissertation. The project dissertation will be devised and undertaken on an individual basis, to fit in with on-going programmes of research in KCMC and the surrounding communities or in line with the priorities of the student's working environment. The course will lead to the award of the degree of Master of Public Health (MPH) from Tumaini University. Course Duration and Admission Criteria
